I would thus like to remind all door members that when you leave the clubroom to check the machine room is locked. I would further suggest that when leaving the machine room unlocked, it should be obviously unlocked, eg with the lock hooked over the handle rather than the latch, and/or the door actually open. (heat is not much of an issue right now.) It is important to lock the machine room, it not only holes tens of thousands of dollars of equiptment. (which unlike the desktops are not seperately padlocked down). We also assert that data in the machine room is physically secure. That is noone can steal the disk with your home directory on it, and just put it in a machine wehre they have root. UCC does not encrypt use directories. I know that since the machine room key was put in the keysafe, more people (than just wheel), now have access. So perhaps it is a good time for a reminder that it needs to be locked. I run pizza nights every second Friday and would like to avoid a scenario where a movie would have to be stopped due to lack of door members. What difference will putting you on Door make? As fresher rep, I do visit the club room frequently where on multiple occasions the room was closed. It would also be a lot easier to add new freshers to the club instead of having to go through another door member. Policy Questions Where would you find the Door Group policy? https://www.ucc.asn.au/infobase/policies/door.ucc Or alternatively google 'lolcatdog ucc' into whatever search engine you prefer. Why do we have door members? To hold the room open, to keep the clubroom tidy, to sign up new members, to maintain order in the club room. Who should you contact with questions/concerns about the policy? Contact Ucc committee by either phoning the Ucc on (08) 6488 3901, or by emailing committee at ucc.asn.au. How does committee officially contact Door members? Through door at ucc.asn.au Practical Questions What is the vending machine code to unlock the door? The code is 55. If someone is violent, refuses to leave, or otherwise poses a danger to people or property, you should call UWA Security. What is their number? Give both the emergency and non-emergency numbers. Emergency: 6488 2222 Non-emergency: 6488 3020 Briefly describe how the door system works (describe how the above code actually unlocks the door). There is an old modem which is connected to a solenoid which unlocks the door by doing some magic magnetic mumbo jumbo when an open door dispense command is sent through the server. If you are unable to unlock the door from the snack machine, how else should you open the door? Give both methods. Log into any ucc machine and 'dispense door' Log into the web interface http://dispense.ucc.asn.au and double click door Who has clubroom keys on their person and who is able to get the clubroom key out from the Guild Student Centre? The President, Vice presidents, Treasurer and Secretary have keys. Only committee can get keys from Guild Student Centre. What needs to be done when closing the clubroom? All rubbish must be cleaned, all members out of the room, lights, fans and soldering iron turned off, tool cupboard, machine room, windows and club room must be locked. What needs to be done when leaving Cameron Hall? If Cameron hall is empty, the main door, door at top of stairs and fire escape door must be locked. If you are unable to correct an issue with something in the clubroom, who should you inform? If it's about someone refusing to comply contact security and committee, if it is about machines contact tech at wheel and committee, if it's about the club room contact committee and door. Dispense Questions What is your current dispense account balance? $0.41 What is the current balance of the account zanchey? $0.91 Where is the dispense log kept? /home/other/coke/cokelog What was the first drink dispensed this year? A solo by duckman Name someone who is able to open the vending machines. Oscar the President man. How would you rename slot 5 of the coke machine to vanilla coke? dispense slot coke:5 93 'vanilla coke' How would you disable slot 33 of the snack machine? dispense slot snack:33 0 'dead' What is wrong with this command: dispense acct Zanchey +500 "money in safe bag 54"? Accounts are case sensitive, should be zanchey not Zanchey. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
