Either way, it's the one across the road from HJs in Claremont. Last year UCCans grabbed some stuff off them and saw a video camera which we were told we could have when they decided to get rid of it - which they have finally. Could someone go and pick it up today or tomorrow please. Go in and ask for Anita and she'll sort things out. I am not so sure about slot 0 but I will replace it and see. Replacement opto-couplers will be fitted next week some time. The rack is now for sale and I'm seeking offers from people on this list. The particular rack is the older style white rack currently in the WAIX room, it has sides but no doors and no built in power sockets. Only condition of purchase is it will need to be collected from the WAIX room. Please email or phone me with any offers or requests to have a look at the rack. Offers close COB Friday 12th October. I fixed mine by making screen suid, but you don't want to do that on a shared box. Apparently, it's libc6's fault. According to IRC, the way to go is ; * Downgrade to libc6 2.2.4-3 in woody (from 2.2.4-4 in sid) * Leave screen alone - chmod 775 /var/run/screens; chmod 2755 /usr/bin/screen Done (plus libc6 2.2.4 dependencies and a switch to en_AU locale), and I've also added the joyous thing that is package pinning. mussel will now only automatically upgrade to testing packages, but you can get unstable ones with a simple ; apt-get install foo/unstable This is does with /etc/apt/preferences (man 5 apt_preferences) and adding both testing and unstable to /etc/apt/sources.list . mussel: /etc>cat /etc/apt/preferences Package: * Pin: release a=testing Pin-Priority: 900 Package: * Pin: release o=Debian Pin-Priority: -10 mussel: /etc> Nick. -- Nick Bannon | "I made this letter longer than usual because nick-sig@rcpt.to | I lack the time to make it shorter." - Pascal
