Some opinions:

Speakers
- Look good. Nice to see they have headphone jacks.

Mice
- Look nice and simple... I might get one or two myself :)

HDDs
- MSY lists the 8TB as an "archive" disk -- might have a relatively
    low spindle speed.
- A 4TB disk should be sufficient (my steam library fits on one,
with plenty of space to spare)

Monitors
- No to 4K (overkill for most of our hardware, maybe next year when
    we start getting GTX10s)
- I'm not sure about 144Hz, it could be good but it is pricey.
- 1200p is generally nice, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra
    cost.
- Freesync sounds nice, but reports are that NVidia cards don't
support it (but the extra update frequency may make the gamers
    happy)

tl;dr:
Smaller HDD, and probably go for the VX2457 monitor
