> 71, 72 and 73). The highlights:

I thought the highlights were the failures of military satellite and nuclear
power plant monitoring systems. All non-critical unfortunately :-)

Both www.cnn.com and www.abc.gov.au have references to a number of failures.

Then there's the Gambia cover-up (grin). Gambia say it's a Y2K failure and
wouldn't have happened if they'd been given their Y2K relief when promised,
the Y2K committee which held up their Y2K relief says it's an unrelated failure
of the national power grid during the roll-over period.

Inaccuracies are bound to exist in the above. Read the CNN and ABC articles
on the roll-over if you care:

http://www.cnn.com/2000/TECH/computing/01/03/y2k.bug.reports/index.html
    -- declaring Y2K a no-show, but lists a number of failures including
problems with monitoring systems at 3 Japanese nuclear power plants,
and a large number of problems in China. but the world didn't end,
       so everyone's disappointed.

http://www.abc.net.au/2000/y2knews.htm
-- a number of articles, mention small problems with French military
satellites, Gambia, bus ticketing systems for Tasmania and South
Australia and an incorrect date on the US Naval Observatory website
(ironic since they are the US' official timekeeper)
