Ignoring all of the technical and pedantic reasons you are in fact
completely correct.

Let's now simply this.
 - The UCC has a 'route' to WAIX, it is implemented over a nasty hack
   involving a kitten masher.
 - It doesn't work, some would describe this as being broken

Extrapolating this:
 - UCC's WAIX 'routing' is 'broken'
 - UWA cannot fix this, due to the previously mentioned kitten
   mashing hack

Or even more simply:
 - It's fracked.

I personally think Dadam did a fine job of succinctly explaining the
problem (ie. it doesn't work, it's not your fault). Perhaps this is
because he's a doctor, and a 45 minute lecture on your internal
plumbing is not something you want to hear when you come in to
complain of a cold.

Let's not try to complicate matters, shall we?
