[ucc] How To: connect to UCC machines remotely

Thanks for all the responses about why I/anyone is unable to connect to 
UCC servers over WAIX without going through a third party such as Tartarus.

May I now make so bold as to ask what the following terms used in the 
discussion actually mean, in plain English :

1. "a nasty hack"
2. "a kitten masher"

Please just assume that I and other readers here understand the language 
of TCP/IP, UDP, routing, and the economic terms involved in costing 
network services, or can look them up; but avoid if possible any vague 
and esoteric metaphors concerning sharp knives and cats.
