[ucc] Scanning photographic negatives

If you want to fiddle with brightness/contrast/saturation/etc, you should
do that at the time of scanning.  If you can't, make sure the images are
saved with as many bits per component as possible, and use software that can
deal with it.  Actually, you should do that anyway.

Photoshop is one of the few that will do 16 bit (but make sure the filters
you use do it too).
