Meeting Opened: Thu Aug  3 10:21:47 WST 2006

President's Report:
 - SOC
    - JCF and I went to SOC last night
    - Mahjongg club got ratified
    - Matt Chuck looked at getting Mayfair door access to the entire Guild,
      including Cameron Hall
    - key policy still hasn't been changed
    - the Guild wants to set up an advisory committee on IT, Matt wants to know
      if a member of the UCC wants to be on it
    - storage space is being investigated by Geoff, it is apparently waiting on
      the University to do stuff
 - TV may have been stolen, it's certainly gone missing
    - security chain remains, TV is no longer attached
 - testing of college link being conducted
 - Project Pinkwood is stuck in a hole
 - we have to 5-tape DLT drive

Vice President's Report:
 - went to sock
 - quiz night is coming along
 - quit job, got [new] job

Treasurer's Report (via email):
 - $1929.04 in the bank
 - We still have some T-Shirts left to sell
 - Drink and Snacks machines are both still making much profit
 - DAA suggested getting some cost/profit figures
 - We're making a good amount of money and should be back up to
   $3000-$4000 or so by the end of the year
 - The only unpaid bills are this month's AARNet, PABX and the storage
   charges. Our outstanding debt, therefore, is:
   - Storage: $946.00
   - July '06 PABX: $20.00
   - July '06 AARNet: unreceived (~$250)
   DEBT: $966.00+ (~$1200)
 - Budget will be in tomorrow

Secretary's Report:
 - almost forgot meeting
 - keep forgetting to turn up to Electromagnetics lecture
 - dinner is booked
 - quiz night is on track, we'll just use DAA's sponsorship letter

Machines:
 - we have them
 - Morwong is up (and doesn't seem to need replacing)
 - stuff is working better this week
 - perhaps get donations for a new video card for Fennetar

Drinks'n'Snacks:
 - we're all good

Action Items:
 - DAA to chase up on the Zone3 deposit
   - Zone3 dude is away
 - TRS will chase people up for GST on their bandwidth costs
   - improbable
 - DAA to work out how we can afford the dinner, may or may not involve
   intercourse

General Business:
 - Paton for coke
   - not here
 - Quiz night
   - on track, Aug 25th
   - ACTION: people to deliver sponsorship letters
   - ACTION: JCF to get a list of sponsors UniSFA are trying

   - received the quotation, hasn't looked at it
 - Cheap Coke from Guild Catering
   - if it's cheaper
