UCC Committee Meeting Minutes 2007-07-27

Meeting Opened: Fri Jul 27 13:11:00 WST 2007

President's Report:
- Break was too short
- Sitting on a sea of monitors
- Computer Angels stuff is happening slowly
- New network kit

Vice President's Report:
- UCCLan this evening, be there or be slightly more square than if you did come
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Harrows was excelent
  - LOL encourages spoilers in the minutes
- ITS unhappy with lack of coke
- Account locking almost there, should be done early next week - Thanks DAA

Treasurer's Report:
- Not taking responsibility for ITS coke unhappiness
- DAA delivered coke to us, some delivered to ITS
- Some money but no balance yet
- Claims submitted, budget will be in before deadline (today)
- Belinda still chasing up S2 2006 grant (still) hopefully will get it this year
- Will have car soon
- Post balance to list later

Secretary's Report:
- AWOL: Giving his final year project talk

Fresher Rep:
- Freshers are happy
- We have more freshers
- Does know their names

Jeff Report:
- New committee meeting time is up to standard

Machine Reports:
- We have them
- We're up some more shiny new network kit
- Monitors: we have them
- Pitch is unhappy, DAA is investigating
- Lots of Computer Angels Machines... need to find storage.

Drinks'n'Snacks:
- Coke machine has stuff in it
- Need snacks
- SJC will resume stocking properly when he has a car again

Action Items:
- CHZ to get new bin... not done
- CHZ to manage programming competition... not done
- ACTION: SJC to buy bin and pass costs on to CHZ
- PXY to email LA... not done

General Business:
- VXN for door:
  - In early most days
  - Been around a number of times can't get in
  - OCM of unisfa (already considered responsible)
  - Will door people for misbehaviour

- BDL for door:
  - Here on weekends and holidays a lot
  - Door needs decisiveness about cleaning
  - LAW: would you be prepared to stop bullying in the club: yes

JCF motions for a silent vote, JFK seconds, passed, mass exodus.

VXN: PASSED
BDL: NOT PASSED

Mass influx

- Nick Cockran for door: 
  - Can't make this meeting time, JCF speaks on his behalf
  PASSED

- Stuart Paton for coke:
  - In all the time
  - Same reasons for being in door
  - Usually no late night coke controllers
  - Happy to be disturbed to add funds
  PASSED

Lock Accounts:
 - Being covered by DAA, see VP's report

Charity^WFreedom Vigil:
 - Need to supply a committee member
 - LOL to cover it

UCC Dinner:
 - Look into Royal Perth Yacht Club again
 ACTION: SJC to get in touch with DAA/RPYCH

Cameron Hall Ball:
- Unisfa has budgeted for $1500, looks like a buffet/dinner/formal dining thing
- Drinks/non Drinks tickets
- Still working out venue etc...
- Possibility of a ball committee
- Early days yet, more at a later meeting
ACTION: Committee members to think about being on CHBall Committee

James Pearson:
ACTION: JCF to chase up with DAA
