From tommo at ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au Mon Oct 7 14:33:56 2002 From: tommo at ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au (Tommo) Date: Mon, 7 Oct 2002 14:33:56 +0800 (WST) Subject: [UCCBball] Singlets Message-ID: Okay, we're finally ready to order singlets, and Coman will be placing the order very soon (probably tomorrow). If anyone wants to change their singlet size (there were some people who tried them on at Tuesday's game and said they did), could they please reply to this post asap and state their new size preference. Also, some people have stated that there's no point to ordering singlets this late in the season, and some others have complained about the quality of the other teams in the division. A new season will start 2 weeks after the old one finishes, and we intend to register the team again (to make it an ongoing thing). As for the quality of other teams, we are planning on watching some games of Div 12/13 to see if they are made up of lower quality teams than the rort-fest that is Div 14. I've already watched some Div 11, and even they were a lot worse than our current opposition. Chances are, the quality of opponents next season won't be so rorty :) Anyway, singlets soon. So yay :) Cheers, Tommo. "Always two there are. Except when there are five..." The season so far would indicate that most people are available on Tuesdays, and we *really* do need to train. Chris Grubb and myself both have several years of coaching experience, so I think that between the two of us we could run things quite nicely. While we should have things a little bit easier in Div 12 (I doubt there'll be too many 50+ point losses), we do have to train if we want to improve as a team. The only thing left to be decided is a venue for training. We could book a half court at Perry Lakes on Tuesday nights or we could try arranging something else (the UWA gym is really expensive to hire, so that's out). So, what do people think of this plan?
