[UCCBball] Next game

We do indeed. We're also playing the top team, so after our last  
performance I'd say we really need to get it together. A few notes on  
our last game:

1. We didn't run the offense the way we have in previous games.  
Armadale played a more aggressive, spread-out defense than we're used  
to, which put more pressure on the swing passes and it really screwed  
us up. To combat this we need to pass safely (NO MORE WEAK PASSES OVER  
DEFENDER'S HEADS!) and without rushing. The person receiving the pass  
also needs to move to make themselves available, even if this means  
drifting way up alongside the guard.

2. We rushed. We all need to calm down and play at a pace that suits  
us. When we try to play a fast style we score less, turn the ball over  
more and get more tired than we otherwise would, so it's all quite  
pointless. So think before you pass, don't rush down the court against  
3 defenders and don't force the play, just hold the ball up and give  
it to a guard, so our offense can get set up.

3. We didn't box out. On almost every shot, we'd allow ourselves to be  
herded underneath the hoop and the ball would be picked out from over  
our heads. We all know how to box out by now, so let's do it!

4. We continually bailed out after doing 75% of the work on defense.  
We need to keep that intensity up and not let them get by us so  
easily, particularly when it comes to defending drives to the basket.

5. We were really careless with the ball - there were at least a dozen  
turnovers on passes. Look before you pass and put some oomph into it.  
No more weak stuff!

I will say that for the first 5 minutes of the second half we played  
really well. It was the only time we looked like a threat to the other  
team, and we consistently did all the right stuff. So we're definitely  
capable of it.

Anyway, sorry for going on and on, but I think it's all important  
stuff to keep in mind. Thanks to those of you who bothered to read it.
