In the 'ptch' 420 I have, the comparison is a CmpI.L #$3E700000, D3 at offset 0x6D46 from the start of the file. Just searching for 3E700000 will probably do the trick.

Yeah. For some reason NKv1.x doesn't let the PowerPC context use any of the special calls (except kcReturnFromException). Not sure why.
