I like the current long fresher guide - apart from anything else, most
of the technical information won't do people much good if it's online
and they are in the clubroom trying to work out machine to sit in
front of, and how to use it.
How about a compromise - give every fresher at the stall a one-page
summary, with a map, web address, and basic info. Then next to the
coke machine, when people come up for their free coke, put a stack of
12-16 page fresher guides, and encourage interested people to take
one. That cuts out the waste, and ensures the people likely to read
them get a copy...
The web site DOES suck. And for gods sake, don't replace it with
MySource. No. No. Nooooo....
