Dear UCC committe,
I am a UWA lecturer, but be not afraid - at heart I am one of you, at
least spiritually (but perhaps not monetarily). There are a number of me
and my cohorts who try to get together relatively regularly to play
various LAN games. Our latest focus is, of course, BAttlefield 2.

Due to some of the more severe anti-piracy policies of EA games, they've
chosen not to implement a significant Co-op version of the game, which
means that our old plan of 4 or 5 of us playing at a LAN against a bunch
of bots is no longer much of an option.

Which brings me to my point - the obvious solution is to get more than 10
people together to play at once. I wonder whether you guys would have any
LANs planned in the near future, or whether we could encourage you to hold
one (and the mid-year break is a prime opportunity). Alternatively, if I
were to organise a LAN of my own, do you think any of your members might
be interested in attending? Numbers are the key I think...........

Other games we're currently playing include Unreal 2003 (of course), Star
Wars Battlefront, Star Wars Republic Commando, Flat-Out (Hilarious, I
assure you) and a few others.......

I can be contacted by email, or by phone (9346 2993 during the day,
0422132259 mobile).
Cheers
