Hi Clubs

SOC MEETING
The next SOC meeting will be next tuesday (25th of September) at 6pm
in the Sue Boyd room. As always it is important to make sure that your
club sends a delegate and that you send aplogies before the meeting if
no-one can make it

Club Olympics
for those of you that were unaware this event was won by Bay 13 with
UCFK coming in second and UEC third. Leisure took out the costumes,
craziness and cheersquad prize. Congratulations to all that took part,
I was good to see so many clubs down there and I hope that you all had
a good time.

Best Club/ New Club
the deadline for this award is steadily approaching - Forms can be
picked up from the door of the soc office and will soon be available
on the guild website - the deadline is 5pm on wednesday the 5th of
October - this is the very latest that I could make it - there will be
absolutely NO extentions.

MAILBOXES
I know how keen you all are to get access to your mailboxes but we
need to log the issuing of the keys and it is getting more and more
complicated! I have given up waiting for some clubs to get back to me
with issues that i have asked them about so the keys will be available
soon- however if there are issues with your office bearers form you
will not be able to access your mailbox until they are resolved.

In the meantime you can pick up your mail from the guild student
centre on the ground floor- some clubs have quite a backlog of mail
there! Please dont hassle the student centre staff about when you can
get your key - i will send another email out

STORAGE SPACE
the guild is in the process of building a storage shed behind Cameron
Hall - applications for space in the shed will be going out soon so
start thinking about what sort of space your club could use.

GUILD BALL
I have attached a form you can use to book a table for the guild
ball. It is always a good night and also when the club prizes are
given out so get a table together and come along.

Finally there have been a few rumors going around about clubs being
disaffiliated, loosing their clubrooms or funding - this is not
happening. If SOC or the guild does have issues with the actions of a
club the club will be the first ones to know and there would be
meetings and mediation long before any drastic steps were taken.

Hope you all enjoyed study break

Kirsty
