I recommend avoiding too many UCC/UniSFA/Cameron Hall questions if
you intend to pitch the quiz night at a wider audience. It makes
those people who are not from Cameron Hall kind of irate.

Personally I recommend a mixture of general (think Trivial Pursuit),
pop culture and technical questions.

Good topics include: general sport, geography, politics, history,
movies, popular music, popular art, general science.

Bad topics include: questions about animes no one has ever seen,
anything that requires a "fan" level of knowledge about something
(e.g. names of episodes of a TV show).

Additionally, you've got to avoid gimme questions.

The line can sometimes be hard to determine, but I think this is an
illustrative example:

"In the TV show Futurama, what does the robot Bender use as his
power source?" -- too easy, most tables will answer this question correctly

"In the TV show Futurama, name the three episodes which feature a
man in a purple hat standing behind a palm tree." -- too hard, who knows this?

"In the United States, what is the capital city of Washington state?"
-- answerable, but requires you to know something

"Name the state capitals of Australia"
-- answerable, but there is a trick

--d
