Similarly, as far as I can see, the following informal policy has been
hanging about without official re-ratification for even longer. I hope
the rationale of both is as clear as ever, or we could make sure it's
covered for the next general club meeting.

Peter Wilsmore suggests that committee meeting be open and all having
an open vote, with a closed vote of committee members being called if
need be.
