Hello!

Currently, the process for adding an item to the agenda is to simply add it, there is no requirement that it be discussed on the lists prior to this. As such, members can still add any item they see fit. The secretary is in a position to edit the agenda if he/she believes that a certain item is not worth discussing/holds no value to the club.

No-one is in the position to change this process on themselves. As such, I have added an item to the agenda so this may be discussed at the upcoming meeting.

Subject: [committee] The Use of Lists and Agenda

Due to a recent spike in number of items added to the committee agenda
I would like to remind members that the committee agenda should be
used for items that need to be discussed by the committee in person.
As of next week, any agenda item that has not been discussed on the
lists will not be discussed at the meeting. This is not only to reduce
the time wasted in committee meetings but will also allow members who
are not able to attend committee meetings the chance to get involved
with club related issues. I would also like to remind members that
anyone who is on the relevant list is able to post to that list and is
encouraged to do so. The lists provide a convenient form of
communication between members and allow for a far more open method of
running the club.

Regards,
