My question to bob was whether we needed both sides functioning with new
batteries in order to power-up and test. That's not the case, which means
I have no remaining worry.

Assuming they're the right batteries (nice price, if they are) I'm all for
the purchase.

Hi,

I just got off the phone to Battery World in Welshpool. They can give us
equivalent batteries to what's in the UPS for $35 each. Assuming they're
the correct replacements, I would like to buy 5 to get one side of the UPS
working. If that is successful, then I want to get another 5 for the
other side.

The UPS is necessary for the SAN to work to its full potential (no write
cache without it), but even if the SAN project falls in a heap we can
still use the UPS on other machines.

Committee members, please let us know your vote so I can get these ASAP.
