Dear Committee,
I would like to seek approval for money to be withdrawn from the
University Computer Club's term deposit for the purchase of two
additional 15 Amp sockets to support the new routing equipment being
donated by Apache Energy.
Cost would be around $1200 (taking a guess based on the last quote
from O'Donnell Griffin) and I would like to action this sooner rather
than later - timeline for delivery of the equipment is about 4 weeks.
Oh, I'll also need to find 11 RU of space somewhere for this ~$60000
worth of equipment (if you were buying it new) ;)
Thanks,
Matt [MRD]

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the clarification.
I have discussed the UCC and your request with Karen Moran, our IT
Manager. On behalf of Apache, it would be our pleasure to offer a
Cisco Catalyst 4507-R Chassis Switch to UCC, comprising the following
configuration:

1
PWR-C45-4200ACV Power Supply (AC 4200W) to suit Catalyst 4500
2
WS-X4515 Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series Supervisor Engine
IV 2
WS-X4306-GB Cisco Catalyst 4500 Gigabit Ethernet Module, 6
Ports (GBIC) 2
WS-X4424-GB-RJ45 Cisco Catalyst 4500 24-Port 10/100/1000BASE-T
Gigabit Ethernet Switching Module 2
WS-X4448-GB-RJ45 Cisco Catalyst 4500 48-Port 10/100/1000BASE-T

Note that the configuration may change depending on operational
requirements, but changes will be communicated to you if and when they
occur.
At this stage, we are still in the process of decommissioning the
switch from our Production Network, so it is not ready for immediate
release. I will keep you advised of progress and be in touch to
arrange a time for delivery as our schedule progresses.
Should you have any questions or queries, please don't hesitate to
contact me directly.
Kind regards,
Brad Peczka

Hi Brad,
The University Computer Club is an incorporated body under the
Associations Incorporations Act and we have not-for-profit status
based on the clauses in our constitution.
Take care,
Matt
