Hey everyone

As a former UCCan, and fairly regular attendee to the CCC's annual congress/convention thing in Germany, I had a bit of a thought about whether any current student members were interested in attending next year's 30th congress. It's a fairly massive and amazing event with literally thousands of attendees who range from awesome high-voltage hardware hackers to the people behind Tor, wikileaks and even the new Icelandic constitution.

If anyone's planning on travelling through that part of europe between Christmas and NYE of 2013 and not flush with cash I can probably cover a limited number of memberships (around EUR80) plus dorm accommodation or cover their share in a hacker-flat. And probably pizza and Club Mate for the duration too.

Introductions to some of the more interesting hacker spaces in Europe are possible for people travelling at other times (Metalab in Vienna is a particularly welcoming space filled with awesome people and projects, let alone some of the other hackerspaces in Berlin and The Hague, but there are some crazy and fun groups in the Balkans too…)

Just a thought while I'm still fired up from congress and having a couple of great conversations that reminded me what an awesome and incredibly long-lived club and hackerspace the UCC is. Let me know if anyone's interested…

Regards
