Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your prompt response,

In regards to timeframe, we would be looking at moving the server within 2-4
weeks if possible and in terms of the server staying, conservatively I will
initially say 5-7 months. Realistically we want this issue resolved as soon
as possible, but unfortunately that is not up to us. I will keep UCC
informed of all major developments, particularly if it will affect UCC
providing us space to host our server/

In regards to hardware, we currently do not have a rack server and are using
a desktop server, however we have a few member who have some old hardware
they are willing to donate, and at the earliest possible time I will inform
you of what the hardware moving into your space will be.

As discussed on IRC there are other things relating to this arrangement that
need to be discussed, and I will keep you informed of anything relating to
this matter. At this stage our committee is going to have a impromptu
meeting regarding these issues, so the situation on my end may change at
that time. I was hoping to get a response from UCC on whether this was
possible, and I am glad that we have the option to do so. I will have some
more concrete information for you by next Saturday as our AGM is on Friday.

Regards

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I've put your proposal to the committee and wheel groups in the club and
we'll get back to you ASAP.

Can you please give us some idea of the timeframe for this, both in terms of
when you want to move the server in and how long it's likely to stay?

Can you also tell us what the hardware is so we can get an idea of how it's
going to affect our cooling.

Cheers,

Andrew Adamson
