Hi Harry,

Lyndon "Frames" is our tech talk organising guy, so he can tell you more 
about the dates. I think there is quite a bit of flexibility though.

I actually haven't used stepper motors; I used DC motors with gearboxes :S
I've always wanted to use stepper motors for something though.
(Despite organising the robotics competition, I am not very good with 
hardware).

Would committee be willing to budget for purchasing one of those 
boards? For those who don't want to follow the links, they are ~$60.
They have 150 adapter pieces which snap off. This should be enough for
several people. Perhaps we would need more if lots of people wanted to
attend, but I'll start by asking for one.
