Hi All,

I've been doing some research based on discussions held in #committee and
#ucc and this is the outcome thus far:

*Online payments*
*
*
The Westpac solution is called PayWay Net (that they recommended). Fees
relevant to us are:

- Merchant Establishment Fee: $110.00
- PayWay Establishment Fee: $220.00
- Merchant Service fee (based on doing Visa and MasterCard transactions):
0.950%
- PayWay CC Transaction fee: $0.55

Note that there is a monthly minimum merchant service fee of $22.00

Advertised features and benefits:

   - Automatically accept credit card payments from your customers using a
   Westpac-hosted website.
   - Obtain real-time authorisation on every credit card transaction.
   - Secure website provides Transaction Search, Daily Settlement Report,
   and graphical Trend Reports.
   - Your customers will appreciate the convenience of making payments any
   time during the day.
   - Quick and easy to set-up (Developers Guide available on the PayWay
   Website).
   - No need to store Credit Card details in your computer systems –
   processed securely by Westpac.
   - A complete solution when used in conjunction with other PayWay Modules

I've more info and shit from WBC if people are interested

*EFTPOS*

Features

   - High speed GPRS communication
   - A lightweight hand-held device combining the PIN pad, printer and
   machine
   - Instant settlement available if settled into an eligible Westpac
   account
   - Rechargeable battery pack ensures power for high volumes of sales -
can process up to 200 transactions and up to 10 hours battery life once
   fully charged
   - Easy to use - just follow the terminal prompts to process a transaction
   - Fast processing of transactions
   - Accepts all major credit, debit and charge cards
   - Ability to accept and process chip cards and smart cards
   - Capability to surcharge on credit or charge card purchase transactions
   - Provides the full range of transaction types including purchases, cash
   out and refunds
   - Provides tipping, pre-authorisation and shift reporting options
   - Multi merchant capability
   - It has 24MB of memory for improved processing power

Charges

- Establishment fee: $82.50
- Terminal access fee: $33.00/mth
- Cancellation fee: $104.50

- Minimum merchant service fee: $22.00
- Transaction fees:
  - MC and Visa: 0.950%
  - Debit purchase: $0.180/transaction

Now, there's a new thing called "Seasonal Merchants" that Westpac offer -
its $143.00/mth that you use it, in between you return the machine though
and there's no charges. Keep doing that for as long as you want then just
pay the cancellation fee, but you're not having to pay ongoing terminal
access fees and merchant fees when the machine is sitting around doing
nothing.

Questions or otherwise let me know.
