Questions
Why
do you want to be on Door?
I believe that having the clubroom in near constant use is a big factor in
the club’s vibrancy. I believe that I am a suitably honest, responsible
and friendly member and hope to assist keeping the room as available to
members as possible.
Also, I’ve been here long enough that I think people trust me by now, and
too many people already think that I’m on door that we may as well make it
official.
What
difference will putting you on Door make?
I imagine people would think there are an excess in door members, however
there are still times when a door member wants to leave and close the room
that inconvenience the members. I recall many such times in the last 2
years. On one occassion approximately 6 members were in the room and Gozz
needed to leave, closing the room. After about 10 minutes Frames rocked up
and the room was open again, for another 40 minutes before he then had to
leave. Finally another 10 minutes later the room was able to remain open
but in the meantime members had to drop what they were doing twice. Having
another door member can hopefully reduce these occurrences (especially if
one of the members who was kicked out at the time could have kept the door
open).
