[committee] Exciting opportunity to partner with Telstra - summer vacation program 2016-2017

Good morning!

I hope this email finds you well and you don't mind the direct approach.  My name is Kate Sereda I work with our Graduates and Summer Vacation Team here at Telstra.

Excitingly, applications for Telstra Summer Vacation program open in June 2016.  The program provides Uni students in their penultimate study year with 12 weeks hands-on work experience. The program starts in November 2016 and concludes late February 2017 and employs students into 5 major areas:  Engineering, IT, Business and Commerce, Finance & Strategy and Marketing.

The program provides students with exposure to senior leaders, exciting projects, cutting - edge technology and experience, all of which help to kick start careers once Uni is over.  Many of our Summer Vacation Program<https://careers.telstra.com/Graduates#page=/Career-Paths/Graduates/Summer-Vacation-Program/Our-Summer-Vacation-program&filter=.subsection1829> students go onto our Graduate program.

Given your society falls into one of the above areas and we've had some great experiences with students from your university, we'd love to partner with you to ensure students are aware of this fantastic program.

We've found that a great way of successfully getting the message out is through mail outs and promotions to relevant groups through distribution lists (such as society lists). We are wondering:


1.       Could Telstra send mail outs about our Summer Vacation program to students within your society?   (Ideally we'd be looking to communicate with your group a couple of times, prior to job applications officially opening in June 2016, to provide information on Telstra and the program.)

2.       Is it possible make students aware of the Summer Vacation program through social media channels linked to your society? (eg a  website, Facebook, Twitter etc)

3.       Are there any faculty specific job boards you would recommend to promote the program through, in addition to your society?
Please let me know as soon as possible if we could potentially partner to promote the program. Even if you aren't interested, if you could please let me know that would be great.
