HelloClubs!
This is very late notice, however an opportunity for $$$ has arisen!
As discussed at Education Council meeting, BHP are offering* $30,000
worth of grants to Guild-affiliated clubs and societies for projects in
semester 1 next year*!!
I realise it's very early to have plans about future events, let alone
start budgeting. However, if your club is particularly focused on BHPs
values and plans to run an event then BAM! you might have more money to
run your event next year!
/FOR EXAMPLE: if you were planning on running a career mentoring
program, that could align to the Career Development and Employability
pillar. You also have to show that your project is aligned to BHP values
(these are linked in the application form)./
I have attached the funding criteria, to summarise, you can apply for
funding for an event or initiative, showing that it aligns to the
Student Experience Strategy (that's attached in this email) and BHP’s
values (LINKED IN THE APPLICATION FORM). More detail about the
applications can be found in the attached documents.
Although it may seem a little strange aligning what you want to do next
semester with the University’s Student Experience Strategy, many of the
events and initiatives that you are planning to run will already be
eligible and competitive! So there's no reason not to miss this great
opportunity!! The more money we apply for in total from this year could
affect the money pool we get next year (it could mean even MORE grant
money from BHP this time next year).
Application for the BHP grants on*10^th December, *and can be lodged at
http://uwa.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_74fdi9iKz9Vtp8p.
Hope everyone's holidays are going splendidly! I know mine are! If you
have any questions, I'll be in the Student Rep Office :)
Warmest Regards,
**
