Dear Students,
We're sorry to have missed the opportunity to meet you all at the Big Meet in Perth, however we would love to share some information with you on the PM&C Graduate Program!
Have you considered the PM&C Graduate Program<https://www.pmc.gov.au/pmc/careers/graduate-careers>? If not, here's why you should!
PM&C is committed to growing a diverse cohort of future APS leaders through our 12 month Graduate Program. At PM&C Graduates are encouraged to bring fresh and innovative ideas that bring new perspective and challenge the way we do things at PM&C. We are seeking graduates with varied degree types, backgrounds and experiences to help us shape policy that improves the lives of Australians - basically, we want you to apply your individual lens to policy making.
Learning and Development
PM&C invest in the development and career growth of our Graduates through a balance of on the job learning and exposure, and formal professional development preparing Graduate readiness for opportunities to advance in their APS career on completion.
Choose Your Own Adventure
Our Choose Your Own Adventure platform sets us apart from the rest through providing greater flexibility, autonomy and empowering our Graduates to seek exciting opportunities across the Department to advance their career. To achieve this, Graduates will be supported to connect with business areas through networking events organised by the Entry-Level Programs (ELP) team and through targeted learning and development activities that develop their relationship building, negotiating and communication skills.
Mentor Program
We assist you in building your professional capability and networks through our tailored mentor program, giving you the opportunity to have one on one interactions with influential stakeholders within the Department.
Location
Our Graduate Program positions are located in Canberra, ACT and we have Graduates relocating nationally each year. We know that starting a new job, let alone starting in a new city, can be daunting, challenging and exciting. To support you, we offer generous relocation assistance and will be there to guide you every step of the way.
Eligibility
To be eligible, Graduates must have completed a minimum of a three (3) year undergraduate Bachelor's Degree within the last eight (8) years achieving at least a credit average.
What we offer
PM&C is a flexible, diverse and inclusive workplace with attractive remuneration packages, including generous employer superannuation contributions. Our graduates start as full-time, permanent employees at the APS3 level. After 6 months, you may be eligible to advance to the APS4 level. On successful completion of the program, you will have the opportunity to apply and be assessed for advancement to the APS5 or APS6 level.
2023 Graduate Program
We are excited to advise that applications for the 2023 Graduate Program are now open! We really encourage you take a look and apply for this great opportunity!
