They also don't have a cancellation fee until 2 weeks before the

It's also a lot cheaper.<br>

I like this because it could just turn into a regular dinner,
but if we organise it early<br>
(as opposed to two weeks before) there is potential to expand.<br>

They list the food as "finger food", I don't know how substantial
that would be for dinner.<br>

If we decide not to book the Hilton, I will contact them for
more information.<br>
I also recommend other people get some more information about
their alternatives. <br>
Rather than just say "Find somewhere better!" That way we can
choose between several things.<br>

It's not really fair to expect one person to research *every*
alternative, which is what<br>
we have been expecting of [SAS] so far.<br>

For interest, the number of attendees to the 2006 dinner was about 60
($40/head, heavily promoted as the 0x20th, held at Royal Perth Yacht Club,
partly Guild-subsidised) and to the 2009 dinner about 40 (held at Mez in
Northbridge, cost $40/head).
Claremont or Royal Perth Yacht Clubs are both possibilities as various UCC
members have the appropriate contacts; they may be much cheaper.
