what do I need to do to connect to the desktop?

What exactly do I need to do in order to connect to my desktop (running Debian 
and OpenSSH from the Zaurus (running OpenZaurus GPE with Dropbear)?

I can connect between my desktops using ssh and what I have tried is to copy 
my public key (RSA) from the desktop to ~/.ssh/authorized_keys on the Zaurus 
SL-5500.  I also generated a key on the Zaurus and then extracted a public 
key from that and copied it to the desktop's ~/.ssh/authorized_keys file.

I was able to connect to the Zaurus from the desktop using ssh but I was 
unable to connect TO the Zaurus from the desktop, I get an error indicating 
no authentication methods present (I get this error on the Zaurus) and 
verbose logging on the desktop shows nothing, as though the connection 
attempt was never received.
