Hi all,

UCC::ProgComp has now officially closed for 2010. While a number of
people expressed interest in competing, unfortunately only 2 entries
were received.

However, I am pleased to announce the following winners.
 - 1st Place: Hipikat, with the Tuning Fork agent
 - 2nd Place: John Hodge, with the Lockten agent

Congratulations to you both! Your prizes are $50 and $25 respectively,
available in coke credit or vouchers. I'll be in touch to get your
prizes to you.

I'd also like to thank the following people for their valuable
contributions, in no particular order:
 - Luke Williams, who wrote the original competition core.
 - John Hodge, for his help with the C ADK.
 - Zanchey, for his help with Trac and MoinMoin.
 - Bob Adamson, for help 'upgrading' the server and setting up NTP.
 - Dylan Huen, for making UCC::ProgComp promotional posters.

Each of you will receive $10 in coke credit as a thank-you gift.

Honourable mentions also go to Rufus Garton Smith, James French and
the UCC Committee for their contributions. My apologies to anyone I've
missed!

In 2011, I hope to co-ordinate another programming competition themed
around the Tron light-cycle game. In 2011, we'll make sure that Java
is actually properly supported, and provide better debugging and
visualisation support. If there's any other feature you'd like to see
in a future competition, or if you'd like to help, please get in
contact with me at progcomp-organiser at ucc.asn.au

Finally, thanks again for your interest in UCC::ProgComp 2010! Best
wishes to those of you with exams!

Regards,
Daniel Axtens
