The deadline is still 14th May. For those who want to ask questions, or work on an AI, I'll be in the clubroom next Saturday. I'm thinking of holding two preliminary rounds before the main event. The first would be worth no points, and the second would be worth a small fraction of the final scores. These events would probably take place in late April and early May. In other news, I have rewritten much of the manager manual page "Protocol" description. Because it was terrible. It's a lot longer now, but probably still terrible. I also did some other stuff; if you care about it, check the git repository. So I'll move the progcomp event to next weekend. Apologies for any inconvenience. If anything clashes, tell me, so I can change them. The first preliminary round will be on 24th April, and will be worth 10% of the final score. The second preliminary round will be on 9th May, and will also be worth 10%. The final competition will be on 16th May, and will be worth the remaining 80%. All these dates are on Saturday, and yes, I will be in the clubroom, although you don't have to come to the clubroom to enter. For those who do come to the clubroom, the games will be shown live on the projector! It's like sport, except not as cool! [SZM] Secretary 2012, Progcomp 2012 organiser ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (Belated) summary of Event on 10th March The event went pretty well, people seemed to enjoy it. About 6 people attended, and most were impressed with the shiney first prize (Stratego 50th Anniversary Edition by SpinMaster). A number of updates were released, including efficiency improvements, minor bug fixes, and (most horrifically), getting the program to compile under Mac OSX. Thanks to [DJA] and [TPG] for their suggestions/help. See git for details.
