I was thinking of setting up a mail alias/small list/procmail thingo as 'docs@ucc', where inspired wheel member who actually just fixed something mails to say what they just did. the mail is saved in /home/wheel/docs/something.ddmmyy and then sent to wheel for discussion, etc. The headers would ideally be changed so that 'docs' isn't cluttered with unnecessary crud of after-discussions caused by wheelies just group replying. whaddya think? moderation would be a much better way to go, except who would be moderator, and how long would moderation last before enthusiasm dies and the docs stop altogether. > Also very few people are adding text to the logs. On starfish I think > that I have added the last few entries and I only add entries when I am in > the room and I reboot the machine. no one has ever told me about any logs ... I've only heard about a log existing for mackerel ... once again a new-wheel-member-loss-of-communication-thing. (a la mustang's rant) hell I even had to reboot starfish myself and upon asking luyer how, he didn't mention the logs. > Oh well, a lack of communication. If he flew then he was crazy and didn't have to; but if he didn't want to he was sane and had to.
