[tech] Odd SOCKS problem

Sarah Kael's account (sarah at ucc) can't seem to use SOCKS on mussel,
but can on mermaid.

Netscape SOCKS4 doesn't work for starters, but neither does runsocks
socks5.

It's not just a group ID thing, because ;
runsocks telnet discworld.imaginary.com

works when su'ed to barry, but not to sarah.

It's not a cokecredit thing - sarah is $6.32 positive.

The permit lines in both moray:/etc/socks5.conf and
moray:/usr/local/etc/sockd.conf look identical in format for both mermaid
and mussel.

Any ideas?
