[tech] web server and ftp logins

has someone broken the web server?  i am not getting updates from changing pages
in my home dir.
also, we are still unable to log in to mermaid and mussel via ftp .....

   	We have what is termed a one way gateway on our house.  
   	Computers are allowed to enter, but they may not leave.
