Adding or removing files to/from a directory used to change the
modification time on the directory.  But it seems that morwong's file
system doesn't do that.  This is a shame, because that's where /home is,
and inferno lives on /home, and inferno relies on that behaviour.

Is there a way of changing it, or do I have to sacrifice a few more
chickens?  Too many chickens have given their lives to inferno already.
