as some people may have notices, morwong went *really* slow this afternoon.
Looking through the process list, there are a lot of getty's running.
like 128.  I also noticed that there is a process called 'kernel idle'
taking up 332M.  i presume (hope!) this is a normal process, having never
noticed it before.
and top listed:
Memory: Real: 25M/241M act/tot  Virtual: 139M/256M use/tot  Free: 920K

If I interpret that as 25M of real memory in use, out of a possible 256MB
and  139MB of swap used, then something's wierd.
