[tech] FTP to mooneye

We should be able to fetch files from mooneye, (but not send them).
Unfortunately, FTP logins of any sort don't seem to be working (and yes,
I tried restarting ProFTPd in case it was a libc upgrade thing).

Jan 31 15:52:34 mooneye proftpd[6606]: mooneye.ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au (mermaid.ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au[130.95.13.17]) - USER nick (Login failed): Can't find user. 
Jan 31 15:52:42 mooneye proftpd[6606]: mooneye.ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au (mermaid.ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au[130.95.13.17]) - FTP session closed. 

Any ideas?
