 o KDE runs beautifully on a laptop
 o KDE debian packages are insanely easy to install and well polished
 o it actually lets me log back out and then in again and keeps my 
   settings
 o I haven't needed to rm -rf .kde*
 o Konqueror kicks ass as a webbrowser
 o they have more useful developer docs than Gnome
 o it's free software, the whole GPL thing is fixed
