Ok general security/ssh - didn't require a distribution change ;)
Neither did kernel 2.4. And.. id we'd just updated them individually, 
we could revert things to a working version when we don't get it
working on the first attempt.. Neato.
Playing with things is fine, but can people _please_ start thinking about the
other peoples good work you're destroying every time you try to 
'upgrade'. People get very very sick of redoing their setup of stuff
dozens of times.

*shrug* I use Redhat at work. I have good reasons for avoiding it whenever 
I can ;)
