Oh come on Leighton. That's an attitude that's only frowned upon in the
_real_ world.... when has UCC ever been in the REAL world?
But yeah, you wouldn't have had me frapping around with stuff that I had
little clue about when I was there. Even when I had all the passwords
(being Prez had its perks!) there was stuff I did (like some stuff on
Murphy) and there was stuff I didn't. And the stuff I didn't we called in
the pro's (Schadow et. al.).
It's only now that I'm in the real world where I ditz around with stuff
without much clue, and even then it's only when it's my stuff, and
breaking it only pisses ME off.
Note that none of the above is meant to construe that Nick has no
idea,... I don't know what his or anyone else's skill-set involves, I'll
leave that up to better informed folk.
The point I'm making is that I think I knew when to fold my cards. But it
_IS_ something that's hard to learn, and not everyone in the real world
has learned it, and I suspect not very many people in the academic world
have. It's not really like the academic world actively (seriously I
mean) encourages team work. Most notably during exams, but even during
other less regimented parts of one's academic career.
:-)
