Okay, for those of you interested this is the system:

 o retrieve routing information from PARNET router via SNMP
 o retrive netmask information from PARNET router via SNMP
 o anything with a next hop in 198.32.212/24 will go out of 
   the fibre link to the WAIX switch
 o add routes for these networks going out of eth0:0 

To avoid you guys putting too much load on the router, 
typhaon retrieves the SNMP data for you each week, and 
then mermaid and mussel update their routing tables.
