[tech] LDAP authentication

I don't know jack about this, but it seems like the Open Directory  
documentation would be a good place to start, although there never  
seems to be anything germane to work-arounds on the Apple site (as we  
discovered when trying to install Mac OS X using NetBoot from Server  
1.2)...
