Hi, Greg - is this the right address to use...? I'm on your mailing
list as nick-ebay at rcpt.to for an older purchase...
I'm writing for the computer club at the University of Western Australia -
we've had a few Suns over the years but we were sadly undersupplied with
UltraSPARCs until we picked up our new pride and joy, an E6000 named
manbo, currently running Solaris 9 on 16xUSI-167MHz's and 11.75GiB of
RAM. (We also partly merged an E4000 and spares into it, there's enough
left over to play with Solaris 10 and Linux)
We'd like to upgrade it as far as we can go on a limited budget, and
we've been looking at your CPU auctions, most recently:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5810797089
Are these compatible with our E6000? I believe our gigaplane is running
at 83MHz currently - what should we check, and would we need a new clock
board for starters?
Here's some details:

Thanks,
Nick.
