[tech] NIS, mail, Samba, pain

Hey all,

Morwong is on the blink again (restarted to try and fix serial problems -
bad plan), and NIS was being dodgy this morning (as was Samba).

Restarting the NIS server on Manbo ('svcadm restart network/nis/server')
seemed to make everything happy again. I broke the golden rule of only
changing one thing at a time and upgraded Samba, too, so I'm not exactly
sure what fixed that (I suspect the RPC reload that the upgrade does was
the solution).

Some mail may have been lost this morning, but it will have been bounced
by asclepius.uwa.

Someone with clue should probably move morwong to a new case, or try and
debug the bizarre interrupt problem.
