[tech] mermaid interface errors

Yo,

There's errors on Mermaid's eth0 interface which will affect
how fast people can do web transfers from UCC webspace.
Mermaid seems to be plugged into the accelar; would someone
with accelar-fu and some spare time fiddle the interface to make
duplex happy?

Alternatively, what is needed to remove the accelar from active
duty? Just a replacement cisco switch?
