Subject: ITS PLANNED OUTAGE: UWA Core Network, 6-7 Jun 11pm-4am

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: There will be intermittent outages of the UWA Core Network
while ITS performs work to increase its resiliency.
A core switch/router (named villa) will be replaced.

DATE AND TIME: Saturday 6th June at 23:00 through to Sunday 7th June at 04:00
(6-7 June, 11pm-4am)

SERVICES AFFECTED: There will be intermittent outages to the following core
services:

         * Internet access for ALL UWA Campuses
         * All UWA inbound mail (will queue for later delivery)
         * All inter-departmental network traffic
         * All external facing UWA web sites

The following services will NOT be affected by this outage:

         * Telephone system (PABX)

HOW YOU CAN HELP: Please pass this information to staff in your area who might
be affected.

Successful completion will be assumed and no further notices will be posted
unless the downtime was unsuccessful and further action needs to be taken.
