XP definitely works great with MS-CHAPv2/PEAP on AD machines, and I am
90% sure I've also setup non-AD machines (successfully) on that
network here. We're using a self-signed certificate, and we just
import the CA using a little batch script on a network share. Having
configured a few XP machines, my experience is that it's more likely
to work reliably/at all if you're running SP3.
I can meet people at UCC to debug/steal working config, if you like.
I'll try and find a non-AD-bound machine here in the meantime to test
with.
