It's true*! The SunBlade we've had sitting in the corner of the clubroom
actually works**! It's not currently set up to auth with LDAP --- because
that is a very special world of pain --- but you can now log in with
username 'ucc' and password 'ucc'.

It's running Solaris, and has a whole host of useful*** programs
installed, including a version of firefox which is less out-of-date than
the version number would make you believe, and ssh so you can log in to a
real server. It even has ipv6!

OpenGL should be working, and there are C/C++ compilers installed, so it
should be possible to have some fun with the somewhat awesome graphics
cards found within. Red also has 8 Gigs of RAM****, so should be good fun
to play with. A port of OpenArena shouldn't be too hard, either. It
already has a SPARC linux port.

Note that (due to the lack of any meaningful security), /away is not
mounted, so you'll have to be a bit more creative to get to your files.

If someone decides to get LDAP et al working: "Good Luck!"
There's a guide to reinstalling Solaris in /home/wheel/docs/TheRedGuide
for when you break it.

Have fun,
