Ahh, rookie mistake. ;)

(The slightly more advanced mistake is to manage to record the licence key,
but fail to record whether it was for the Retail, OEM, Volumekey, or some
other version of Windows...which requires knowing the product key. :P)

It should be recorded on the sticker that came with the licence, that
someone has stuck on the side of the machine, right? RIGHT? :P
